Oyez!  Oyez!  Are you a merchant with goods to sell? Are you looking for items for purchase such as clothing, jewelry, accessories, food, etc? Well lucky for you, after several years of dormancy and plague, with the melting of the snow and the lengthening of days, the market at Sigtuna is once again opening its gate to merchants and consumers alike.  Bring your lunch or perhaps purchase from our fine merchants (food options not guaranteed).  At the hour of supper, Dame Sarra and the cooks of Ruantallan will be opening the tavern to serve a delicious feast to all who wish to partake.

During the day, a tournament will be held to determine the new Baronial Fencing Champion as our current champion, Oswald, has traveled to a distant land to practice his trade leaving us defenseless!

Youth A&S Competition has been cancelled

Fencing Tounament details from Master Guthfrith Yrlingson:
As most know already, the Baronial Rapier Championship will be held at the Market at Sigtuna, on 22nd Day of this April.
The tournament is open to all authorised fencers. As is custom, Fencers from outside the barony are most welcome to compete in the tournament as well, for the title of Defender of Ruantallan. The current Baronial Rapier Champion, Lord Oswald, while being unable to attend in person, has prepared a tournament of three rounds. All entrants will compete in the first two rounds at least. The tournament itself will start at 1pm.We are aware that several fencers have had their authorisations expire during the Grete Plague. We will try to run through reauthorisations and authorisations on the day before the tournament. However, if you are in one of these positions, please try to get your authorisation done before the event if possible, and if you cannot, please be at the event well in advance of the tournament, ideally by 11 am. If currently warranted marshals can try to be at the event early is well it would be very much appreciated.
